An extremely flexible approach to the generation of test signals for RGB displays is found in the LT 1610A and LT 1611. The generators are small and will find space easily in production, QC, design and service operations. But size belies a surprising range of operating options. The units operate independently from their own pre-programmed ROMs where all that is required to call up preset raster formats is a simple front-panel address selection. And an optional controller makes this possible from a remote location.
DIGITAL OUTPUTA unique feature of the LT 1610A and the LT 1612A is their RGB output feeds in 8-bit parallel digital form as well as analog RGB feeds. Thus the LT 1610A and LT 1612A is capable of driving both conventional RGB monitors and those that require parallel digital feeds such as some flat-panel displays.
PC CONTROLThe user has full control of raster format specifications, pattern selection and design, control of output and sync options through the use of an RS-232 connection to a PC. Using software provided by Leader, all aspects of raster architecture, output conditions, pattern selection and design and other control functions are presented in the familiar WINDOWSñ format GUI with simple point-and-click selection of key parameters and conditions. This manner of control allows central direction of test operations and facilitates ROM generation for LT 1610As and LT 1611s is operated at remote locations. The ability to download images greatly enhances the choice of test pictures for particular operations.
