Model LV 5150D provides full monitoring facilities for 1125-line HDTV signals from both SDI feeds and 3-wire analog feeds. Two serial inputs are provided with an active serial output on the rear panel of the signal selected for display. Monitoring facilities include waveform in overlay, timing and parade formats in either YCbCr or GBR form, vector Chroma display, picture display from Y or G with a line-select strobe and a stereo (Lissajous) display with an electronic scale calibrated to zero, +2 or +4 dB. Picture monitor output jacks provide 3-wire analog feeds of decoded digital in YPbPr or GBR form, making the instrument a convenient D/A transcoder. Full EDH facilities, in conformance with SMPTE 292M, report errors in video, audio and ancillary data. Line select operation is standard and includes a strobe to locate the selected line in the picture display as well as a variable 1-15 line window. Precision cursors measure both level and time/frequency. A preset system stores up to 10 front panel setups for instant local or remote control and includes the use of facilities like line select and cursors and all panel settings except ITENS, FOCUS, scale ILLUM and power ON/OFF.
