John Cheney, technology teacher at Pulaski High School, challenged his students to reverse-engineer some model airplane engines he had been saving. They used measuring instruments to obtain accurate component details and then replicated the individual parts in CADKEY. Separate drawing levels were used so that the individual parts could be viewed independently. CADKEY gave the students terrific flexibility to design in wire frame and/or Solids? choosing the method which best fit the particular task.
Both teacher and students were happy that the challenge was successfully met. We think you will be as impressed as the parents and administrators with the industrial grade drawings and the high level of sophistication that is quite evident.
